EDUCATIONAL CENTER

Everett’s story is replete with big-money factory owners and blue-collar workers laboring in mills, railroads, canneries, iron works and shipping companies. Everett could boast in the 1910s about the largest lumber mill in the world, three continental railroads, ocean-traveling freighters, and manufacturing plants and warehouses up and down its shorelines.

We, at the Everett Railroad Heritage Association, endeavor to represent much of the railroad history of this area in the late 1950's with a large model railroad. Our club historians are researching and doing our best to build representations and, in some cases, accurate models of the iconic buildings and industries that shaped Everett. We hope to be able to be good stewards of the history of this area and will be updating this section on what you will see represented on our railroad as we build it.
